ELECTRICAL DUST COLLECTION METHOD

PURPOSE:To remove the low-concn. dust and to utilize the energy necessitated in the compression as the energy for dispensing a gas to a reutilization area by dust-collecting a dust-laden gas in such a state that it is compressed in >=1kg/cm<2> gage pressure. CONSTITUTION:A dust-laden gas 10 is firstly compressed in 1-3kg/cm<2> gage pressure with a compressor 12 and the compressed gas 14 is introduced into an electrical dust precipitator 16. Since the dust concn. of the introduced gas 14 is elevated in proportion to the absolute value of the gas, the rate of dust collection in the electrical dust precipitator 16 is remarkably increased. A purified gas 18 is fed to the clean rooms 20 or the like. A greater part of the energy used in the compression of the gas can be utilized as the dispensation energy for the clean rooms 20 because the pressure drop of the gas is almost made to zero in the electrical dust precipitator 16. Therefore the diameter of a conduit for the purified gas 18 can be made small and the fine dust can be removed even without combining a fiber filter large in the pressure drop.
