PURPOSE:To make the quality of a film excellent wherein a boundary is clear and the variance of a film thickness near to the boundary is small by peeling a boundary line of a coated part and a noncoated part with the high-pressure water fed through a nozzle for the boundary line and thereafter peeling off the noncoated part with the high-pressure water fed through a nozzle for the peeling. CONSTITUTION:In relation to a coating apparatus for a frame wherein the front and rear sides of metal are coated, the first peeler 20a, the second peeler 20b and the third peeler 40 are respectively provided for a reference side of one end edge in the width direction of a steel plate 1, a transfer side wherein its position is changed by the width of the plate and the front and back ends. A boundary line of a coated part and a noncoated part is peeled with the high-pressure water fed through a nozzle for the boundary line and thereafter the paint of the noncoated part is peeled off with the high-pressure water fed through a rotary nozzle 25 for peeling. In such a way, the boundary of the coated part and the noncoated part is made clear and the film thickness of paint of the coated part near to the boundary part is small in the variance in comparison with the central part of the plate width and the quality is made excellent.
