NEW MATERIAL:The latent isocyanate compound of formula I [R is H or alkyl; A is direct bond, CpH2p (p is 1-5), NH, CONH or COOCmH2mNH (m is 1-5)]. EXAMPLE:N-methacryloylpropylene urea. USE:A raw material of polymer. Both of the polymerizable double bond and the isocyanate group in the molecule have high reactivity. PREPARATION:The compound of formula I can be produced by reacting the halide of formula II (A' is direct bond or CpH2p; X is halogen) or the isocyanate of formula III (A'' is direct bond, CO or COOCmH2mNH) with the cyclic urea of formula IV.
