PURPOSE:To prevent damage on a disc by providing a loading plate moving reciprocatedly a cartridge holder in the loading/ejecting position and the turning drive position and pressing an eject sub plate so as to move the loading plate after turning stop. CONSTITUTION:In loading a cartridge 1 to a cartridge holder 8, the cartridge 1 is pressed into contact onto a wall 17 of an ejection plate 12. In loading further the cartridge against the elastic force, the engagement between the plate 12 and the holder 8 is released, the loading plate 20 is moved in the direction of arrow B by the energizing force of the 2nd elastic member 27, the holder 8 is moved in the direction of arrow C from the 1st position to the 2nd position and the plate 20 is locked. In depressing a pushbutton 49 toward the arrow A, the eject sub plate 28 is locked to stop the turning of a turning drive body 7, the locking of the plate 20 is released at the same time and the plate 20 is restored to the 1st position by the energizing force of the 1st elastic member 37. Thus, damage on the disc is prevented.
