PURPOSE:To form easily back coating with less friction coefficient and excellent running performance by sticking fine particles of noncompatible liquid from a mist generator to a coating face before a coated liquid is dried and cured so as to form a thermosetting coating film. CONSTITUTION:A film supplied from a magnetic recording medium roll set to a pay-off device 1 reaches a film cleaner 5 via a carrying free roll 3 and a drive roll 4, dust/dirt and static electricity on the film surface are removed by the cleaner and coating liquid is applied by a coating roll 6. Further, the film 2 is carried at a constant speed and fine particles of the noncompatible liquid generated from the mist generator 8 are stuck to the coated face in passing a drive roll 4. After the coated film is dried, the boundary phenomenon at the mist sticking part reaches nearly saturation until the film gets to the curing processing zone, then the surface is formed and dried and the film is wound on the roll by a winder 10 as the cured coating film.
