PURPOSE:A molded article which suffers no peeling of mortar from the container and is suitable as, e.g., an industrial weight stone, obtained by casting a resin mortar containing an unsaturated polyester resin, silica sand, etc., in a container comprising a vinyl chloride resin containing a styrene resin. CONSTITUTION:The purpose article is prepared by casting a resin mortar 2 containing an unsaturated polyester resin, silica sand, a curing agent, a cure accelerator, etc., in a disc or the like container comprising a vinyl chloride resin containing a styrene resin (e.g., styrene resin or ABS resin). In this way, in the obtained molded article, the styrene resin in a container 1 is bonded with the styrene monomer in the unsaturated polyester resin and the adhesion of container 1 to resin mortar 2 is improved, so that even when the article is vibrated on a vibrating bedplate, container 1 does not peel from mortar 2. Therefore, this article can be suitably used as, e.g., an industrial weight stone used on a vibrating bedplate.
