PURPOSE:To strip a sticked pressure-sensitive adhesive tape off easily and clearly without staining products, by wetting the tape with an org. solvent mixture having a specified solubility parameter. CONSTITUTION:A stripping agent having a solubility parameter of 8.0-10.0 consists of a 2-4C lower alcohol (a) and a 6-10C paraffinic solvent (b) and/or cyclohexane (c). Preferred examples of component (b) are n-hexane, n-heptane, n-octane and n-nonane. Preferred examples of component (a) are ethanol, n- propanol and n-butanol.
