Process for the use of picking agents, especially for the pickling of workpieces heated to rolling temperature, for pipe production, characterized in that the pickling agent is fed into a pressure container, so dosed volumetrically or gravimetrically that per m**2 of inner wall of the workpiece, 5 to 100 g. of pickling agent are present, the pressure container is loaded with pressure gas so that there is adjusted a ratio of 50 to 750 normal litres of gas per kilogram of pickling agent and that gas and pickling agent is passed as homogeneous mixture through a transport pipe to an application device and passed in circulatory, turbulent, laminar or pulsating movement in or on the workpiece heated to rolling temperature and the pickling agent is applied to the workpiece-walls.</p> |
