PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic sensitive body high in sensitivity, small in deterioration due to light irradiation, and superior in durability by incorporating a specified disazo pigment and a specified polycarbonate resin in a photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:The electrophotographic sensitive body enhanced in performances by the high sensitivity and high durability of the disazo pigment as an electrostatic charge transfer material, by the transparency and high voltage resistance and surface hardness and the like of the polycarbonate resin, and by the stability and the like of a coating solution can be obtained by laminating on the charge generating layer formed on a conductive substrate a charge transfer layer contg. the disazo pigment as a charge transfer material, when needed, together with other charge transfer materials, represented by formula I (R is H, halogen, 1-4C alkyl or such alkoxy; X is a residue necessary to condence with the benzene ring to form an optionally substd. polycyclic aromatic or hetero ring; Y is -CONR1R2 or -COOR2; R1 is H or optionally substd. alkyl or phenyl; and R2 is optionally substd. alkyl, phenyl, or naphthyl) and the polycarbonate resin represented by formula II in which (n) is an average polymerization degree of 50-500. |
