PURPOSE:To obtain the titled resin compsn. having improved melt flow characteristics, by blending an ethylene/acrylate copolymer with polybutylene terephthalate. CONSTITUTION:A polybutylene terephthalate resin compsn. contains 0.1-10wt% (based on the combined quantity of polybutylene terephthalate and ethylene/ acrylate copolymer) ethylene/acrylate copolymer having a number-average MW of 1,500-8,000, composed at ethylene and acrylate in a weight ratio of 1:10-10:1. As the polybutylene terephthalate, poly-1,4-butylene terephthalate is particularly preferred. As the acrylate, esters derived from a 1-4C alcohol and acrylic acid preferred. The compsn. may contain pigment, additives, filler, etc. It is preferred that the compsn. contains 1-60wt% (based on the combined quantity of polybutylene terephthalate and ethylene/acrylate copolymer) reinforcing filler. |
