PURPOSE:To use the operation button in common and to attain miniaturization by allowing a CD player to apply storage and read to a memory in response to the operating mode of the CD player. CONSTITUTION:In depressing the operation button 16 of an operation means 1, a mode selection means 6 selects respectively a music selection memory function 7 when the CD player is in the non-reproduction mode and a music selection recall function 8 when the CD player is in the reproduction mode depending on an output of a mode confirming means 5 confirming whether or not the CD player is in the reproduction mode. Thus, the storage or read to the memory 2 is attained.
