Engraving of acrylic resin sheet

摘要

The process consists of (a) heating a steel or brass mould to m.pt. of the resin; (b) applying it to an acrylic resin sheet, pref. of (m)ethyl methacrylate resin, under pressure; (c) evaporating the acrylic resin vapour to produce a clean and instantaneous engraving of the resin; (d) immersing the resin in water to cause sudden cooling and prevent formation of bubbles in the resin.
