PURPOSE:To detect an interruption address by referring to the value of a return address register in case the changed address of a PSW has an error with an unsolved address written or the reference of the address is impossible. CONSTITUTION:An interruption deciding part 3 works if an abnormality is detected when a program needed for processing is read and carried out by a hardware control part 2. Then the 1st deciding part 3-1 identifies the interruption factor to decide the presence or absence of zero if the value of a branching destination register is unsolved in an arithmetic exception. A return address register reading part 3-4 is actuated when said register value is unsolved. Thus the return destination address is read out and defined as a reading interruption address. If the register value is solved, the 2nd deciding part 3-2 decides whether the reference is impossible or not to the address of a PSW with exception of the storage protection. If said reference is impossible with exception of the storage protection, the return destination address is read out and defined as a reading interruption address. Otherwise the address of the PSW is defined as an interruption address.
