PURPOSE:To attain the easy-to-see arrangement of nodes by improving the disposition of nodes on a graph in order to secure a wiring area after disposition. CONSTITUTION:A connection information storage means 11 stores graph type data which is shown by the nodes and the edges connected to these nodes. A deciding means 12 decides whether or not the nodes are arranged concentrically at certain area by the means 11. If the nodes are concentrated at a certain area, an extracting means 13 for areas requiring improvement extracts the areas requiring improvement out of the means 11 to write the nodes, coordinates and edges of the areas requiring improvement to a storage means 14 for areas requiring improvement together with those of other areas written on a storage means 15 for areas except those requiring improvement respectively. A coordinate changing means 16 for areas requiring improvement increases the coordinates of the nodes stored in the means 14. While a coordinate changing means 17 for areas except those requiring improvement increases the coordinates of the nodes stored in the means 15 to write them on a temporary coordinate storage means 18. A coordinate changing means 19 reduces the coordinates stored in the means 18, and a coordinate storage means 10 stores these reduced coordinates. Then a display means 21 displays the graph type data based on the contents of the means 20.
