PURPOSE:To high density of storage and high reliability of the device by attracting a ring magnet and a soft iron piece together by a magnetic force so as to restore a head from an R/W zone to a CSS zone automatically. CONSTITUTION:A head 5 is positioned on a prescribed track of a disc 22 by flowing a proper current to a coil 3 and soft iron pieces 14a, 14b in a holder 20 are turned relatively to the ring magnet 15. When the current to the coil 3 is interrupted, the soft iron pieces 14a, 14b are attracted by poles N, S of the magnet 15 to turn an arm group 4 until the head 5 comes on the CCS zone of the disc 22, a side face of a projected part 14c of the piece 14b is attracted by the side face of a square pillar 15a of the magnet 15 and the arm group 4 is stopped. Thus, the magnet 15 and the soft iron piece 14b are attracted by a magnetic force and the rotation of the disc 22 is stopped, then the head 5 is restored always to the CSS zone of the inner circumference automatically.
