<p>The machine according to the invention comprises a towed chassis on which are disposed one or more sowing assemblies each consisting of a ploughshare 2 opening a furrow, a hopper 3 for storing seeds and a device for taking seeds from the hopper and dispensing the latter unit by unit in the furrow. The machine is particularly noteworthy in that the device for taking and dispensing seed comprises a reserve 5 of low capacity separate from the hopper, this reserve being connected on the one hand with a seed supply device 6 and, on the other hand, with a disc with a depression 7 which takes the seeds one by one from the reserve to a planting noria 8 which takes them unit by unit to the furrow.
