<p>The lifting and tipping mechanism is particularly for emptying dustbins into a collector vehicle. It has a frame with a hook-shaped component engaging under the top edge, which is of inverted-U section, of the bin. The frame (6) has a locking device (16) working with the hook-shaped component (13) and moving between two positions. In the engaged position, a locking face on the device is above the component and clear of it for a distance greater than the thickness of the top edge (14) of the dustbin.</p> |
