PURPOSE:To reduce the magnetic saturation in stator teeth by varying to increase the width of stator teeth formed on both sides of a radial winding slot of a stator core for containing an armature winding as the function of a radius from the radial inside toward the outside. CONSTITUTION:The width (t) of stator teeth 14 formed on both sides of a radial winding slot 12 of a stator core 10 for containing an armature winding is varied to be increased as the function of a radius from the radial inside of the core 10 toward the outside. Since the magnetic saturation in the teeth 14 can be reduced in this manner, it can prevent the output torque constant of a synchronous motor from decreasing even in a high exciting current range which exceeds a rated current range, thereby producing torque of twice-three times of the rated output in a short time. |
