PURPOSE:To reduce generation of defective vacuum degree, by sealing up an electrode pin at a hole made at the side of a glass bulb with a non-crystalline frit glass, vacuum evaporating a metal at the inner surface of the glass bulb at a temperature below the transition point of glass, then forming electrodes by patterning, and washing with a pure water. CONSTITUTION:After washing with a pure water a glass bulb 1 with a hole at the side, an electrode pin 19 is sealed up in the hole 17 with a non-crystalline frit glass 18. Then, a metallic vacuum evaporation is applied at the inner surface of the glass bulb 1, electrodes G3-G5 are formed by patterning at a temperature below the transition point, i.e., the softening point of the frit glass 18, and then washed with a pure water. Therefore, as well as generation of a defective vacuum degree is reduced, the handling is simplified and the cost is reduced. |
