PURPOSE:To lap a sphere in an efficient manner, by inserting a lap ball screw rotatably into a lap cylinder, while installing a conveying mechanism which feed the sphere being fed through a thread groove of this lap ball screw and discharged out of the lap cylinder to the inside of this lap cylinder again. CONSTITUTION:When a lapping compound L and a sphere 2 are supplied out of a hopper 4 of a first lap cylinder, this sphere 2 is conveyed as being rubbed in friction, to an internal thread groove 6 of the first lap cylinder 1 and an external thread groove 7 of a first lap ball screw 8 via the lap compound L, and then discharged from an exhaust pipe body 5 of this first lap cylinder 1 to a hopper 15 of a second lap cylinder 13. Herefrom, it is delivered to the inside of the second lap cylinder 13, and rubbed in friction with an internal thread groove 16 of this cylinder body 13 and an external thread groove 17 of a second lap ball screw 18 via the lapping compound L and, after being lapped, the sphere 12 being discharged to a receiving body 23 rolls on a lower guide body 40, and is projected into the hopper 4 of the first lap cylinder 1 by operation of a conveyor 32. |
