STOP CONTROLLING METHOD FOR STEPPING MOTOR

PURPOSE:To stop a step motor in a short time by applying an electromagnetic brake by 1-phase reverse rotation excitation immediately before stopping. CONSTITUTION:A quanternary reversible counter 1 is driven by a direction signal IN and a step pulse P. A memory circuit 2 stores the state before one step of the counter 1. A brake timing forming circuit 3 produces a brake signal TB of the prescribed time T2 through the prescribed time T1 after inputting the final step pulse P. A drive signal forming circuit 4 normally produces a normal drive signal and outputs a 1-phase reverse drive signal when inputting the brake signal TB.
