PRODUCTION OF ANNULAR RARE EARTH MAGNET

摘要

PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of seizure and to improve shape accuracy by placing an annular rare earth magnet molding on a base plate and sintering the molding while moving the molding so as to slip relative with the base plate. CONSTITUTION:The annular thin sheet-shaped molding 1 of the rare earth magnet is placed on the base plate 2 disposed in a furnace. A rotating bar 3 is lowered down onto just above the plate 2. The bar 3 and the molding 1 are so set that the outside circumference of the former contacts with the inside circumferential surface of the latter. Sintering is executed by starting the rotation of the bar 3 and starting the heating of the furnace. The radius of rotation of the bar 3 is made larger than the inside circumferential radius of the molding 1. The out of roundness of the molding 1 is improved by such method by which the annular rare earth magnet having good dimensional accuracy is obtd.
