PURPOSE:To improve circulation of lubricant and to prevent deterioration of service life by making the angle between the face at the placing section of retainer in planetary roller and the circumferential face of the planetary roller acute while making the gap against the circumferential face narrow at the rotary shaft side and wide at the outer ring side. CONSTITUTION:Placing sections 30 positioning between the circumferential faces of respective planetary roller 2 are provided for the retainer 3 of transmission where the angle gamma between the face at the rotary shaft 1 side of said section 30 and the outercircumferential face of the planetary roller 2 is made acute. The gap 5 against the circumferential face of the planetary roller 2 is narrow at the rotary shaft 1 side while wide at the outer ring 11 side. Consequently, the lubricant adhered to the face at the rotary shaft 1 side of said section 30 is pushed sequentially by the lubricant to be adhered to said face upon rotation of the planetary roller 2 without stopping, resulting in good circulation of lubricant.
