CONSTITUTION:Tool reference point setting data ZQ is inputted as a parameter by a preset sensor PS, having these data stored in a memory 7, and setting size data Ztn of each tool T are processed in operation, having them stored in a memory 8 as well. Next, a pallet grinding tool setting size data Ztj is selected from a coincident signal between data Zth out of the memory 8 and a pallet surface No attaching a pallet grinding tool, having these data stored in a memory 12. And, mechanical coordinate value data Z0(M) of the pallet grinding tool are taken in, and an operational process of mechanical zero posi tion distance data ZM takes place at an operational part 15. Then, work size value data W0 are taken in, having them stored in a memory 17, and further the data W0 and ZM are taken in, finding work coordinate system setting data, a work coordinate value Zn(W) calculated at an operational part 22 with the Zth and the Zn(M) in movement is displayed on a screen.
