The invention relates to an adding measuring machine for tawing, that is to say a device making it possible to count batches of animal skins according to two parameters, namely, their number and their surface area. This measuring machine is noteworthy in that it includes: means 1 for delivering first pulse signals following a given order, the said first signals being able to represent values which are themselves representative of the surface area of a skin; means 10 for delivering a second logic pulse signal equal to "1" when a said order is given; means 10 for processing the said first and second pulse signals; first means 17 for totalling the number of the said first pulse signals; second means 24 for totalling the number of the said second pulse signals; means 7 for displaying the total of the said first pulse signals and means 28 for displaying the total of the said second pulse signals.
