PURPOSE:To form accurate recording by controlling the turning speed of a drive roller based on a carrying quantity signal of recording paper so as to eliminate generation of expansion/contraction of picture information. CONSTITUTION:A rotary encoder 6 connected to a turning shaft of a back roller 4 pressed into contact with a thermal head 3 detects the carrying quantity of the recording paper 2 and a detected recording carrying quantity signal is counted by a counter 10. A carrying quantity output signal of the counter 10 is inputted to a comparison operation device 12, where the signal is compared and operated with a reference carrying quantity signal. A frequency division signal operated by the operation device is inputted to a frequency divider 13, which frequency-divides a basic clock from a CPU 9, a prescribed pulse signal is outputted to a driver 14, from which a drive pulse signal with a prescribed period is outputted to a stepping motor. |
