PURPOSE:To obtain a fine copy prevented from the generation of black stripes or the like without the reduction of blade pressure and the adhesion of solid substances to the surface of a recording medium due to the hardening of mixture such as powder and toner by applying powder consisting of the same component as developing toner to the blade as the inversion preventing agent of the blade. CONSTITUTION:Since one end part of the blade 7 is engaged with a metal plate 8 and the metal plate 8 is fixed by a shaft 9, the leading end of the blade 7 is pressed against the surface of the recording medium 1 and its cleaning end is arranged so as to be reversed to the rotational direction of the recording medium 1. Namely, the blade 7 is arranged so that an angle theta formed by the tangential line at the blade cleaning end and the blade 7 is satisfied with theta<pi/2. Starting powder 12 is applied to the surface of the blade 7 and toner consisting of the same component as the toner for developing an electrostatic latent image formed on the surface of the recording medium 1 is used as the powder 12. |
