WICK ASCENDING-AND-DESCENDING UNIT FOR LIQUID FUEL COMBUSTION DEVICE

PURPOSE:To enable both a manual operation and an automatic operation for an operation lever performing an emergency fire-extinguishing operation by a method wherein an operation force for the operation lever is generated by a power force and a wick-descending movement performed by a manual operation of the operation lever is transmitted to a wick-adjusting shaft until a fire extinguishing enabling condition can be attained. CONSTITUTION:An automatic ascending-and-descending driving unit F for generating an operating force for the operation lever 7 is composed of an automatic ascending-and-descending member 11 for changing over the operation lever 7 in correspondence with a change-over cam 10 rotatably driven by a low speed electric motor 9 provided with a gear reducer 9A, a fire-extinguishing lever 12 for releasing a lock of a fire-extinguishing set position of a wick ascending-and-descending member 8, and a cam switch S2 connected in parallel with a push button type wick ascending-and-descending switch S1 to be depressed so as to rotate a low-speed electric motor 9 when the wick is lifted up and ignited and also when the wick descends so as to be extinguished. The fine adjusting cooperating mechanism E is made so that a wick descending movement caused by a manual operation of the operation lever 7 when the wick ascending-and-descending member 8 is located at the fire-extinguishing set position is transmitted to the wick-adjusting shaft 4 until the extinguishable state.
