PURPOSE:To prevent a phenomenon by which a meaning of a voice is unknown at the time of a superimposition, and to listen to only a necessary voice by executing an informing operation when receiving the additional voice information in a character broadcast. CONSTITUTION:In a character signal extracting part 1, a character broadcast signal is extracted from a multiplexing video signal, decoded by a processing part 6, and thereafter, when it is detected by a CPU 4 that a sound signal is contained, a voice detecting signal Sa is supplied to a voice control part 10. The control part 10 generates a voice state signal St, and supplies it to an informing means 12 provided with an LED. In this way, the LED is turned on, and a viewer can know a start of a character broadcast voice. In this case, the viewer can listen to a TV voice, as well, by operating an operating part 5. |
