PURPOSE:To prevent a power supply battery from useless consumption by driving the 1st and 2nd magnification switching means, making them interlock with each other when a discriminating means discriminate the existence of the film, and at the discrimination of no film by the discriminating means, driving the 2nd magnification switching means. CONSTITUTION:If a photographer switches WIDE to TELE when no film is loaded to a camera, a frame is moved, interlocking with the switching operation of an external operating member, and fixed by a click member, so that the photographer can observe a subject with higher magnification. Since a film existence switch 74 is off, the output of an OR gate 76 is not changed even if a T-W change-over switch 75 is driven, so that current is not supplied to a motor. When the mode is switched from TEL to WIDE, the photographer can observe the subject with low magnification, but the 1st integrated circuit can not detect the switching from ON to OFF, so that no current is supplied to the motor.
