PURPOSE:To prevent the mixing of foreign material into lubricating oil by installing a strainer onto a partitioning plate which covers the upper part of an oil reservoir into which th lower edge part of a main shaft is immersed, so as to cover the lower edge of the main shaft, in the coolant compressor such as scroll compressor in which the main shaft is arranged in the vertical direction. CONSTITUTION:In a coolant compressor, a swing scroll installed in eccentric form at the upper edge of a main shaft 6 is swung by the revolution of a motor rotor 10, and coolant gas attracted into a compression chamber formed between a fixed scroll is compressed, and then discharged. During this time, the lubricating oil in an oil reservoir 15 is pumped up by the centrifugal pump action through an oil cap 7 and an oil feeding hole 23 arranged on the main shaft 6 and supplied into each bearing, and after lubrication, the oil is accumulated onto a partitioning plate 30, and returned into the oil reservoir 15 through a check valve 31. With such constitution, a strainer 32 consisting of a net structure is installed so as to cover a penetration hole 3a into which the main shaft 6 of the partitioning plate 30 penetrates, and the inflow of the foreign material mixed into the lubricating oil into a suction hole 7a and the oil feeding hole 23 is suppressed.
