PURPOSE:The titled oil suitable for hardening of bearing race, gear, etc., having improved light luster of treated material, obtained by blending a used heat- treating oil with a fat an oil fatty acid and a fatty acid alone in specific ratios, respectively. CONSTITUTION:A used heat-treating oil is blended with (A) preferably 0.1-5wt%, preferably 0.5-2.0wt% fat and oil fatty acid (preferably fatty acid of vegetable oil, especially coconut oil fatty acid, palm kernel fatty acid), and (B) 0.1-5wt%, preferably 0.2-2.0wt% 1 preferably 0.2-2.0wt% fatty acid alone (preferably 16-20C fatty acid such as palmitic acid, stearic acid, etc.), to give the aimed heat-treating oil. The blending ratio of the component A and B is preferably 0.25-4. |
