<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate the installation and operation of the air conditioner and to utilize spaces effectively by disposing a discharge part, a dust-collecting part a heat exchanger and a circulation fan successively from a suction port to a discharge port within an air passage communicating the suction port to the discharge port. CONSTITUTION:When a circulation fan 50 is operated and a voltage is applied to a discharge part 20, contaminated air A in the atmosphere is fed into an air flowpath 16 within an air conditioner main body 10 from a suction port 12. Dusts and dirts within air A are charged by a corona discharge generated between a discharge plate 24 and a discharge opposite plate 28. When the air A passes a downstream dust-collecting part 30, dusts and dirts are caught by a dust-collecting plate 32 or an opposite pole of a charge filter 36 and only cleaned air is fed to a heat exchanger 40. Air B which has been cleaned and adjusted into a predetermined temperature by a heat exchanger 40 and thereafter cleaned and temperature adjusted, is supplied into the room by means of a circulation fan 50. Thus, cleaning of air and the temperature adjustment are carried out by the same unit and at the same time.</p> |
