PURPOSE:To omit an isolator optical system by constituting the titled processor so that the first optical system for write and read-out and the second optical system for detecting an error emit a laser beam in a diagonal upper direction from an optical waveguide, and also receive a reflected light from the diagonal upper direction. CONSTITUTION:A coupling lens 15 emits a laser beam propagated through an optical waveguide 12 in the diagonal upper direction and also condenses it two-dimensionally. A light receiving part 20 is placed at a position where the rays of light reflected in the diagonal lower direction from the position of a laser spot P can be received. An emitted light from a semiconductor laser 33 is collimated by a collimating lens 34 and thereafter emitted in the air from a coupling lens 35, forms a focus at the point P and its reflected light is received by a light receiving part 40. A polarizer piece 38 stuck onto the coupling lens 35 is used for converting the rays of light emitted from the coupling lens 35 to a linearly polarized light.
