PURPOSE:To eliminate misoperation with a simple operation, by announcing the operation to be executed subsequently by voice only when operation is done according to the procedure. CONSTITUTION:When a recorder/reproducer G is started, information for attracting customers is given from a speaker 2. As a customer places a goods on a scale A, an analog signal obtained from a weight sensor is converted into a digital value and the weight thereof is shown on a display section C. At the same time, a voice generation controller F is operated to give the first information of the operating procedure through a speaker 1. When the customer presses a goods button at a preset section E, the display section C of the scale A shows the prices which was computed with an arithmetic control section incorporated into the scale A. The voice control section gives the subsequent second information through the speaker 1. When the customer presses a printout key at a key input section B, a label printer D operates to print out a specified item on a label. Upon the end of the printout processing, the unit F is operated to give the third information through the speaker 1.
