NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I (R<1> is 1-4C alkyl, 3-6C cycloalkyl, phenyl, benzyl, 1-4C alkoxy or 1-4C alkylthio; R<2> is methyl or trifluoromethyl; R<3> and R<4> are 1-4C alkyl; X and Y are O or S; when R<2> is methyl, Z is F, and when R<2> is trifluoromethyl, Z is H). EXAMPLE:O,O-diethyl O-(5-fluoro-2-isopropyl-6-methyl-4-pyrimidinyl)phosphorothi- oate. USE:Insecticidal and miticidal agent. PREPARATION:The fluorine-containing hydroxypyrimidine compound of formula II [M is H or alkali(ne earth) metal] is made to react with the phosphoric acid ester chloride of formula III in a solvent (e.g. DMF) preferably at 15-100 deg.C for 0.5-10hr. The reaction is carried out preferably in the presence of an acid acceptor.
