A washing device for containers such as drums or the like, in particular for conditioning and saucing drums, is specified which has a washing nozzle arrangement which can be moved in the longitudinal direction of the container to be cleaned, preferably with the aid of a cable drive, and can automatically, quickly, reliably and effectively clean the inner wall of the container and also installed equipment, such as humidification nozzles or the like, preferably in a program-controlled manner. The washing nozzle arrangement can have a plurality of washing nozzles and, in addition to a drive cable for the cable drive, one or more support cables for guiding the washing nozzle arrangement can also be provided. The washing nozzle arrangement is connected to a washing fluid supply via a flexible hose line which is arranged wound helically on one of the cables in order to prevent kinking of the flexible hose line during the movement of the washing device.
