The subject-matter of the main application P 3514588.9 is a pollutant sensor technology which exhibits a pulsating sawtooth-like piston, the pulsating movement of which conducts a desired air flow through a measuring opening to the sensor. To improve this sensor technology further, it is proposed that a heating wire (11) is attached in the inflow area to the piston side and/or in the piston area itself. This protects the piston against icing. <IMAGE>
