<p>PURPOSE:To remove carelessly left jam paper and to prevent a fixing part from the regeneration of jam or a roller from damage by opening the fixing part and then closing it again to allow the reset of copy enable operation when the jam is generated in the fixing part. CONSTITUTION:The upper part 1a of a body is arranged on the upper part of the fixing part 20 so as to be rotated around a shaft 21 and sensors P1-P3 for detecting the jam of copy paper 12 are arranged near a copying paper passage. However, jam may be generated in the fixing part 20 without being detected by the sensors P1-P3. When the paper is wound around a heat roller 14 for instance, a program is built in a microcomputer to allow the reset of the copy enable state by opening the fixing part once and then closing it again after the jam processing. Consequently, the carelessly left jam paper can be removed and the regeneration of jam, the damage of the roller, etc. can be suppressed.</p> |
