<p>PURPOSE:To enable to shape into the desired form by a method wherein metal is laminated to heat-softening plastics and heated by eddy current generated within said metal in magnetic field in order to soften said plastics under heat. CONSTITUTION:A composite material 10 is formed by laminating heat-softening plastics to both sides of a metal material 2. Said composite material is useful for the splint or the like. When the composite material is used as the splint, firstly, said compoiste material 10 is placed in magnetic field in order to generate heat within the metal material 2 by eddy current in order to soften the plastics 1. After that, the composite material is set to the affected part and is manually shaped into the predetermined form. The provision of heat insulating layers 3 on the surfaces of the composite material may be preferable in order to prevent the heat from being given directly to the affected part.</p> |
