An apparatus for detaching a filter cake deposited on the filter cloth of a drum centrifuge is provided with a mat between the filter cloth and the drum casing, which mat has elastic part-surface pieces which are to bulge out in the direction of the drum interior. At the same time, on the mat side facing the filter cloth, a multiplicity of adjacently arranged channels for filtrate discharge is formed. By means of this apparatus it is possible to detach the filter cake, which is deposited on the filter cloth, simply, as completely and reliably as possible. |
