The device for producing a floating feedstuff is effected by supplying a feedstuff vat with a defined amount of water. This water is fed by means of a pump into a mixing vessel and is returned via a second line by means of a second pump into the feedstuff vessel. Corn cob mix meal silage is continuously fed from the transport silo to the liquid in the mixing vessel which is thus increasingly enriched with corn cob mix meal silage until the desired amount of feedstuff is attained in the feedstuff vessel.
