The band comprises an elongated web of material which includes lengthwise elastic threads, the band pref. being about the perimeter of a garment opening. In place of one elastic thread, or in addition to them, a pull cord extends along a portion of the web, and is longer than that portion to provide a bunched section for grasping to pull and contract the band, which specifically is woven, knitted or braided. |
