PURPOSE:To improve the capacity of a storage space, forwarding efficiency and quality by forming a rising and lowering portion by a spiral rail, which is blocked for a storage place, and conveying a coil by means of a horizontal hanger in the above storehouse for rolled coils. CONSTITUTION:A rolled coil 1 is conveyed in the unit of a lot by a tracked horizontal hanger 2, and bound by an automatic binding machine 3. After weighing, the coil is transferred to another horizontal hanger 2 by a hook to hook transfer 9 and moved along guide rails 14 to be delivered to a storage line 10 in a spiral rail 8 at a point B. Subsequently, the coil is lifted up. By repetition of such operation, storage is accomplished. Forwarding is accomplished in the reverse process. This arrangement can improve the capacity of a storage space and forwarding efficiency. Furthermore, rearrangement can be eliminated to improve the quality.
