The invention relates to a method for the subsequent installation of cables into cavity floors, where the cables are fastened to the front end of a tubular or rod-shaped piece of installation equipment, and the front end of the latter is then inserted into the cavity through an opening in the floor. In order to overcome the obstacle of any installations already present in the cavity, the invention provides for the use of a piece of installation equipment which has been chamfered to form an edge or a point at its front end.
