PURPOSE:To obtain the titled apparatus for efficiently performing the dust removal of a filter material comprising a porous solid, by providing a gas stream blow-off port to the space in a purified gas side while providing a diffuser, of which the diameter is widened toward a filter wall side, between a filter wall and the gas stream blow-off port. CONSTITUTION:At the time of dust removal operation, the dust-containing gas entering from a dust-containing gas introducing port 13 is introduced into a filter cylinder 11 to remove dust therein and passed through a diffuser 20 and a dust 25 to be led out from a blower 26. At the time of backwashing operation, the high pressure gas generated by a babby compressor 28 is injected from a blow-off port 29. The purified gas present in the periphery of a throat part 27 is taken in by the ejector effect of said throat part 27 to be flowed from the diffuser 20. The pressure of a purified air chamber 18 is increased by backwashing gas brought to pressure several times that of the blown-off gas to remove the dust inside the filter cylinder 11. Therefore, even if the diffuser 20 is provided at the specific position of a boiler body 12, the pressurization and dust removal of the whole of the filter cylinder 1 can be performed by ejection effect.
