PURPOSE:To reduce the burden of an operator while erroneous operations are eliminated by allowing a movable guide to be linked with a paper feeding roller so as to permit the paper feeding roller to move automatically linked with the movement of the movable guide allowing the feeding roller to center. CONSTITUTION:A sheet stack 1 is set at the specified position by means of two guide plates 2 and 3. A traveling unit 6 which holds both a paper feeding roller 4 and a separating roller 9 allowing both of them to move to the axial direction, is rotatably installed on a rotating shaft 5 while the unit can move freely. This traveling unit 6 is supported at the center of a link mechanism 7, and can be expanded and contracted right and left linked with two guide plates 2 and 3. Besides, as an imaginary center line of the link mechanism 7 remains unchanged when it is expanded or contracted arbitrarily, even if the guide plates 2 and 3 are set at a given position, the traveling unit 6 centers enabling the position of both the paper feeding roller 4 and the separating roller 9 to be automatically aligned to a suitable position.
