The subject-matter of the invention is a circuit arrangement for automatic announcement of telephone numbers which have been changed in a large-scale changeover. It makes use of an announcement device 3 which contains the digits 1 to 0 along with an announcement text in an electric memory from which they can be retrieved in a pre-programmed sequence. These retrievals are controlled by a control device 4 according to the respective contents of a second electric memory 5 which, as a read/write memory, contains the pre-programmed digits for the new telephone number which are in each case identical for a group of subscribers and to which the individually dialled-up telephone number is notified via a device D for receiving dialling information from which it derives the control information for the announcement of the variable digits of the new telephone number. A device F monitors the occupancy condition of the switching device 1 to which the announcement device 3 is connected and a further device 2,E identifies whether a long-distance code has been received. This is important only in order to effect a forced cleardown after a preselected number of announcements. <IMAGE>
