The invention relates to novel azol derivatives of the formula <IMAGE> in which R1 and R2 independently of one another represent hydrogen, the nitro group, halogen, or a lower alkenyl, lower alkylthio, lower alkylsulphinyl, lower alkylsulphonyl, lower alkyl or lower alkoxy group, each of which is optionally mono- or polysubstituted by halogen, R3 represents a lower alkyl, lower alkenyl or lower alkynyl group, each of which is optionally mono- or polysubstituted by halogen, the carboxyl group, a lower alkoxycarbonyl group, a lower alkoxy group, a lower alkylthio group, the amino group, a lower alkanoylamino, lower alkoxycarbonylamino, lower alkylamino or lower dialkylamino group, or a phenyl group which is optionally substituted by halogen, a lower alkyl or lower alkoxy group, the amino group, a lower alkanoylamino, lower alkoxycarbonylamino, lower alkylamino or lower dialkylamino group, the 1-piperazinyl or a 4-(lower)alkanoyl-1-piperazinyl group, where all alkyl, alkenyl and alkynyl groups in R3 can be mono- or polysubstituted by halogen, X represents N or CH and n represents an integer from 2 to 5, in the form of the racemates or enantiomers, and to processes for their preparation and their use as pharmaceuticals, for example as antimycotics, or agrochemicals, for example as fungicides.
