PURPOSE:To improve the working efficiency for fitting a core increasing productive power by holding the core on a core guide while it is sucked up after the winding operation on a take-up reel has been completed. CONSTITUTION:After the winding operation has been completed and the take-up reel has been unloaded, each of cores 20 is sucked up by each of suction pads 15 with a vacuum device 18 actuated. Then, a cylinder 24 for the movable core guide operation is actuated allowing a rack to be elevated. This causes a movable core guide 12 to be moved while rotating through a pinion. Then, a chain block 10 is operated allowing a core feed beam 9 to move downward. At this moment, the core is moved along a guide 26 by means of a bearing 27 fixed on the core feed beam 9 and is suspended at the specified position by means of a stopper section 26-a of he guide 26. Thus, the core is fed to a winding station 6.
